Small Heads was chosen as the first single from Lisa Germano’s fourth album, Excerpts from a Love Circus. Unlike her previous singles, Small Heads actually received a commercial release, but only in the United Kingdom.

“Fun, Fun, for Everyone” was originally recorded during the Love Circus sessions, but omitted from the album. The acoustic version and a more experimental version (styled as “Fun, Fun for Everyone!”) would later be included on Lisa’s self-released Rare, Unusual or Just Bad Songs compilation in 2002.

“Tom, Dick and Harry” would be re-recorded with OP8 and featured on 1997’s Slush.

The instrumental version “Messages from Sophia” made its debut on this release, but would also be included on the self-released Songs from Tierra Sabrosa in 2006.
